Asset Management One USA was originally established in 1994 under the name of Dai-ichi Life Investment Management, Co., Ltd.  The company was renamed to DLIBJ Asset Management USA, Inc. in 2000 when it was brought under control of DLIBJ Asset Management Co., Ltd.  The company was renamed again to DIAM U.S.A., Inc. in 2008 and to Asset Management One USA in October 2016, following the name changes of its parent company. Asset Management One USA acquired all interest in Mizuho Alternative Investments (“MAI”) from MAI’s parent company Mizuho Americas LLC（Bank Holding Company of Mizuho Financial Group）to become the new entity. MAI was established in New York in 2007 for the purpose of becoming part of the asset management business of Mizuho Financial Group and has been providing products with a focus on quants strategy.
